[DMANET] 3TU.AMI Opening Symposium

OPENING SYMPOSIUM 3TU-APPLIED MATHEMATICS INSTITUTE (AMI)

15 April 2010
Aula of the TU Delft

As of January 2010 there is a new 3TU Institute within the Federation of
the three Technical Universities (3TU) in The Netherlands: The Applied
Mathematics Institute (AMI).

This new institute will be inaugurated during a symposium on April 15.

This symposium highlights the importance of applied mathematics in
society. It is aimed at a wide audience. Keynote lectures will be given
by Volker Mehrmann (Matheon, Berlin), Huib de Vriend (Deltares) and
Robbert Dijkgraaf (KNAW).

For further information see: http://ami.3tu.nl , see also Symposium
programme below.
To register for the Symposium: http://ami2010.fyper.com/ Admission is
free but registration is required.

About AMI:

AMI is a collaboration of the Departments of Applied Mathematics of the
three Dutch Universities of Technology: Delft, Eindhoven and Twente.
- For many years the 3TUs successfully cooperate in education by
offering a joint MSC training. AMI will strengthen this cooperation.
- AMI will stimulate research collaborations.
- AMI is an umbrella for new initiatives.
- AMI is a one-stop contact for industry, government and education.

We look forward to seeing you on April 15.

On behalf of the organizing committee,
