Please pass this on if you know any suitable candidates.
Thanks! Leslie and Mark.

2 Research positions - Algorithms and Complexity

University of Liverpool (Department of Computer Science), and
Queen Mary, University of London (School of Mathematical Sciences)

This is a preliminary announcement of two 3-year postdoctoral
research fellowships in connection with an EPSRC-funded project
"Computational Counting"
held by professors Martin Dyer (Leeds), Leslie Ann Goldberg (Liverpool)
and Mark Jerrum (Queen Mary, London).
See http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~leslie/counting.html

One position will be held at the University of Liverpool, and the other at
Queen Mary, University of London. Both positions are for three years.
Starting salary: 31,671 GBP (plus a London allowance of 1,988 GBP).
The start date is 01 March 2011, though a later start date may be
negotiable. Suitable candidates will have a PhD in algorithms and
computational complexity or a closely related area of discrete
mathematics.

The project will involve close collaboration between the three sites,
and the research fellows will join active research groups in algorithms
