[DMANET] PhD-Position in Multi-Objective Combinatorial Optimization, University of Vienna

We are hiring a PhD student within the FWF-funded project "Hybrid
Multi-Objective Optimization Methods for Client-Centered Logistics",
initially for one year but renewable for up to three years. The project
is related to the following research topics: multi-objective
optimization, mixed-integer programming, metaheuristics, vehicle
routing, logistics. The net salary amounts to about EUR 1,375.-, paid 14
times per year.

Earliest starting date: July 1, 2012
Latest starting date: October 1, 2012.


=== Requirements ===
- Diploma/Master degree or equivalent (already completed or to be
awarded before July 1, 2012) in Logistics, Computer Science,
Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field with a focus on
Operations Research.
- Decent programming skills
- Excellent command of English


=== Desirable ===
- Knowledge and skills in mixed integer programming and/or combinatorial
optimization
- Experience with existing MIP solver (CPLEX, Xpress-MP, Gurobi, etc)
- Interest in the development of multi-objective combinatorial
optimization methods
- Willingness to write a dissertation within the topic of the project
