[DMANET] Assistant professorship at Frankfurt

The Mathematics Institute at Goethe University Frankfurt is looking to hire an

Assistant Professor ("Juniorprofessor", W1 scale, without tenure track)

in Discrete Mathematics or related areas. The application deadline is July 12th, 2012.

To complement the existing activities, we are looking to recruit a candidate with an area of research such as

- analytic, probabilistic or extremal combinatorics,
- information and coding theory,
- randomised algorithms/stochastic combinatorial optimisation,
- complexity theory and cryptography,
- discrete models in mathematical statistical physics.

The assistant professor will be hired for a period of three years. An extension for another three years can be granted subject to a successful evaluation.
