We are looking for an excellent PhD candidate to work on problems at the frontier between information theory and networks in order to develop models and algorithms for inference and learning in the context of Big Graph Data. We are particularly interested in problems arising from social network analysis, distributed storage systems and/or large-scale databases.

The successful candidate will have a good 1st degree and an MSc degree from a reputable university in Statistics/Electrical Engineering/Operations Research/Computer Science, a strong background in probability and stochastic processes, and the ability and the desire to work with data.
