[DMANET] Ph.D. position available, University of Avignon, France

Dear all,

The University of Avignon is seeking good candidates for a Ph.D.
position (starting October 2013). The position is granted by the
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region and is related to the development
and use of Optimization techniques to Urban development and planning.
The candidate will be part of a larger project on "Smart Cities",
granted by the French Government (thanks to the PREDIT organization).
The project is held by two research teams of the University: the
Laboratoire d'Informatique d'Avignon (http://lia.univ-avignon.fr/)and
UMR ESPACE (UMR 7300, http://www.umrespace.org/). Both laboratories
have received the best possible evaluation from French Research
Agencies.

The chosen candidate will receive 1300 Euros (with a teaching task) or
1100 Euros (without a teaching task) monthly and will be a member of
the two research teams. As a consequence, he will have full access to
all the facilities provided by the university (an office shared with
other researchers, desk, computer, email account, library, French
courses, help with installation etc.)
