[DMANET] Phd position in discrete mathematics at Umea University

Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics has an opening as a PhD in discrete mathematics with focus on graph theory. The successful applicant will work on problems in theory of graphs, random graphs and hyper graphs. Apply June 1 (2015) at the latest.

We are opening a PhD position in discrete mathematics with focus on graph theory. The successful applicant will work on problems in theory of graphs and hyper graphs. In our current projects we are working on extremal problems for graphs and hyper graphs, properties of random graphs and hyper graphs, and structural problems concerning cycles in graphs. The general aim of a graduate student position is to provide its holder with a possibility to earn a PhD degree. The position is for 48 months of research. As a PhD student you will perform research and take courses on graduate level.
