[DMANET] Department Chair position in ISE at Lehigh

Dear Colleagues,

The P.C. Rossin College of Engineering & Applied Science at Lehigh
University invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair
of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). We seek a
high-profile, accomplished researcher who is a dynamic leader with a vision
to build upon the continued growth and success of the Department and to
expand its interdisciplinary efforts within Lehigh.

The Department currently has 14 tenured or tenure-track faculty members and
three Professors of Practice. Our undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D.
programs are vibrant and growing, with current enrollments of approximately
180 undergraduate, 190 Masters, and 40 Ph.D. students. ISE faculty members
maintain outstanding international reputations in a variety of areas,
including mathematical optimization, analytics, high performance computing,
data science, manufacturing systems, financial optimization, healthcare
systems, logistics, and supply chain analysis. Research expenditures
currently exceed $3 million.

ISE has extensive interdisciplinary ties with other academic departments at
Lehigh. It also plays active roles with various programs, centers, and
other initiatives, such as with the Integrated Business and Engineering
(IBE) Honors Program, the Research Computing Group, the Analytical Finance
Program, the Integrated Networks for Electricity (INE) Center, and Lehigh's
ADVANCE initiatives. The Department houses the Enterprise Systems Center,
offers a Masters of Engineering in Healthcare Systems Engineering, and
maintains excellent computational and manufacturing/robotics laboratory
facilities. For its achievements, the Department has been recognized as a
four-time finalist for the UPS-INFORMS George D. Smith Prize for innovative
programs to educate OR/Analytics professionals. Further information can be
found through the Department website: http://ise.lehigh.edu/.

Lehigh University is in Bethlehem, PA, in the rapidly growing Lehigh Valley

located approximately 1 hour north of Philadelphia and 1.5 hours west of
New York City. The University has a current enrollment of approximately
5,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students, and is planning
to increase these enrollments significantly in the next few years. Lehigh
is investing substantially over the next few years in new innovative
research and academic programs to enhance its intellectual footprint. These
investments, based on faculty-driven initiatives, will advance the
University's commitment to enhance student experiences.

We welcome applications from, and nominations for, individuals with a
strong background in any ISE- relevant discipline, including industrial
engineering, operations research, and applied mathematics. A candidate
should possess a Ph.D., have an exemplary record of achievement in
research, teaching, and service at a level sufficient for appointment as a
tenured Professor, and demonstrate commitment to supporting the advancement
of fellow faculty members at all levels. The candidate should also be able
to communicate a clear vision for the future of the Department. The
audience for this communication should include members of the industrial,
governmental, academic, and alumni communities.

position is filled. For full consideration, application materials should be
received on-line https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/9673 by October
15, 2017. Candidates should provide a statement of educational, research,
and leadership philosophy, a curriculum vitae, full contact information of
