This is the first announcement for the conference "Tropical varieties
and amoebas in higher dimension" which will take place at the KTH
Stockholm April 16-20, 2018. This is the final conference of the
programme "Tropical geometry, amoebas and polytopes" which will take
place at the Institute Mittag Leffler in spring 2018. As final
conference, it is intended to cover a broad range of topics that will
be of interest during the programme, in particular tropical algebra
and applications; combinatorics, polytopes, and complexity; moduli
spaces of curves and mirror symmetry; and tropical geometry and
amoebas in higher dimension.

Participation in the conference is open to everyone (and in particular
not restricted to participants in the programme).

Speakers include Dan Abramovich, Anders Björner (TBC), Erwan Brugallé,
Melody Chan, June Huh, Kiran Kedlaya (TBC), Diane Maclagan, Grigory
